66 Victoria Street is an early 1900’s two-storey Victoria styled building located right in the heart of Auckland CBD. The building’s construction is typical of that era and comprised of loadbearing clay brick internal and perimeter walls, tongue and groove mid-floor and timber truss roof. Prior to the project, the ground floor was used as a convenience store while the first floor was untenantable.
We worked with the interior architect, the project involved the seismic upgrade of the building, removal of several ground floor and first floor walls to open up the interior space, created an outdoor court-yard dinning area at the rear of the building and supplied the structural details for the interior fitout to convert the building into a popular burger chain.
The key services to be provided are:
Site investigation and seismic assessment of the building
Concept, preliminary and detailed design of the seismic upgrade and architectural upgrades to the building
Documentation and consent support for the staged building consent
Technical support during construction, including temporary works during demolition and construction supervision
