Light Gauge Steel used in relocatable relief housing

We have recently worked Steelrite Framing and contractors in Gisborne and Hawkes Bay to provide relief housing after cyclone Gabrielle.

Our Structural Engineers provided the light gauge steel engineering on these units that were constructed by local contractors. Producer statements and design features reports were supplied with each unit. The units are plug-and-play with solar and water recycling green initiatives. Rooms are a Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and dining/lounge. All units are fully insulated and are designed to be fixed to screw piles for a quick landing. Typically contractors are taking 2 weeks to build up to 10 units at a time. See more on LGS (light gauge steel) design.
