13-27 Manners Street redevelopment, Wellington

Key Services

Our Structural Engineers worked with the Prime Property Group and their engineers in this redevelopment project. We performed cyclic tests on the dog-bone steel plates that would be used to retrofit the precast floors on this project. These tests were completed in our dedicated testing laboratory and involved the following key elements:

  • Designed and fabricated the test setup.
  • Applied cyclic in-plane loads via a two-way hydraulic jack mounted to the
unrestrained concrete block with loading controlled by a hydraulic pump attached to
    the jack.
  • Monitored loads and displacement using a load cell attached to the hydraulic jack
and the Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) attached to the unrestrained concrete block.
  • Processed the test data and prepared test report.
